Polymeric carbon nitride (CN) has emerged as a promising semiconductor in photoelectrochemical devices, thanks to its unique electronic and catalytic properties, low price, stability various chemical environments, benign nature. Decent progress the deposition growth of CN layers on substrates been achieved using several methods; however, properties layer, including quality contact with substrate structural are still largely dependent surface said substrate. Here, new approach is introduced which spray-coated seeding layer composed monomers directs homogenous, thick by calcination at high temperature presence melamine vapor. Uniform strong adhesion obtained. The influence vapor composition photoelectrochemical, optical, studied detail. best-performing electrode, based urea demonstrates good activity photoanode cells, reaching up 300 µA cm?2 hole scavenger.
